Our Mission
This website represents the collaboration of several Bible students from around the world. It is our mission to equip today's Christians with the biblical and historical information needed to answer the most critical questions about God and his son Jesus Christ, to encourage a love for God and man, and to provide a community of faith built on truth and freedom-of-thought.
We believe there occured a great intrusion of pagan Greek philosophy in the early centuries of the Christian faith. This mixture has confused many good Christians about the God of the Bible for centuries. The metaphysical models introduced by the ancient theologians after the departure of the Apostles have seriously confounded the simple teachings of the original Christians, and have endured through the traditions of both Catholic and Protestant groups. Our hope is to reverse the effects of this incursion and recover the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth to make them available for imitation. We pray this website will bring an awareness of what really is, and isn't, taught in the Old and New Testament documents.
We hold the Bible, above all, as our ultimate standard of faith:
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Tim 3:16,17
We will always endeavor in our studies to consider history, culture, and language in equal measure, and ultimately to "let Scripture interpret Scripture" in order to extract the Christian faith from the clutter of erroneous tradition. Jesus himself spoke of sincerely dedicated persons who were "mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures" (Matt 22:29). It is a proper understanding we seek to promote, an education about Jesus, his God, and the Scriptures which reveal them.
